Welcome to the Loch Fyne Gallery website. Loch Fyne Gallery is situated on the quayside in the picturesque fishing village of Tarbert, Kintyre. The distinctive building built circa 1880 initially housed a chandlery to service the large herring fishing fleet sailing out of Tarbert. The classic novel “Gillespie” written by J. MacDougall Hay a Tarbert man is based on this business and owner of that time. The spacious interior design, especially the grand ornate ceiling lends itself naturally to its present day use. The gallery is renowned for having a wide selection of paintings, prints, books and gifts attracting visitors from all over the world. Owned by Rae MacDonald and her husband Steve, Rae a descendant of the Clan Ranald, aims to ensure that the gallery is an “Aladdin’s cave, where shoppers can discover that special purchase in a relaxed atmosphere”.

This web site has been designed to let you see what the gallery has to offer and to enable past visitors to keep in touch. We hope you enjoy your browse.
