Bill lives and works on the Atlantic shore Kintyre, outside Bellochantuy.

Awards include the Sir William Gillies award, the Educational Institute of Scotland award and winner of the Laing Art Competition.

His work is included in several public collections and in private collections throughout the UK, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, Germany, Saudi Arabia and India.

Bill is a member of The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour, The Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, The Society of Scottish Artists and The Paisley Art Institute.
